Emma's in the UK for a few days to meet our new nephew, George, and to celebrate Lauren's 5th birthday too. I would have loved to be there with her, but that didn't work out, so I'm on my own and, coincidentally, without any plans. Wait a minute...when did THAT last happen?
We live a pretty busy life. No, we live a REALLY busy life, and so a whole free weekend alone is something of a rarity...a luxury, almost.
So there I was last night wondering what to do with my weekend; what to do with my FREE time?! Well ,what better, I thought, than golf! So Kevin and I went out for 18 holes. (I shot a 91 at Lincoln Park). What next? Movie watching! A Hannibal Lector marathon on TMC! And then a curry for dinner (yum), and tomorrow, I think a fantastic, massive, tiring, satisfying bike ride to the Marin Headlands....brilliant...it's shaping up nicely!
So what about you? What would you do to indulge yourself on the ultimate, all-about-you weekend alone?
Now, where's that bottle opener...
Don't enjoy it too much ;-) Good for you. Have a lovely weekend. See you when you're back from New York!

I have to say that I'm both surprised and disappointed that you haven't been provided with an innumerable list of things that you could be doing in Emma's absence.

I would go on a long hike, cook, read, take naps (one on Saturday, one on Sunday) and get a pedicure. At night I'd watch a movie or two. Not terribly original, I'm afraid.

Fortunately my list from Emma only consisted of four tasks; three of which involved changing lightbulbs. Now I know there's a joke in here about PR people and lightbulbs, but I'm happy to report said tasks only took 45 minutes (including the trip to the hardware store). Which is just as well as I was absolutely knackered after my bike ride, and ready for a (good idea Dushka) nap!

I would sleep. And if I woke up and had trouble falling back to sleep, I would drink Nyquil to make me sleepy again. A whole weekend of sleeping would easily feel equal what I get in a month at this point.
